1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Binding Labs Inc. ("Binding Labs," "we," "us," or "our"), the company behind Dataspace, collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit trydataspace.com, book a call with us, use our services, or when we identify and contact prospective buyers on behalf of our clients. Binding Labs Inc. is a Delaware corporation based in the United States and is the entity responsible for your personal information described in this policy.
Our website and services are designed for businesses and are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age.
2. Personal Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Identity data: name, job title, and employer.
- Contact data: business email address, phone number, and business address.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, and login data.
- Usage data: how you interact with our website and services.
- Profile data: your preferences, interests, and feedback you provide.
- Marketing and communications data: your preferences for receiving communications from us.
- Financial and transaction data: payment details and records of services purchased, processed through our payment providers.
- Business-related data: company name, industry, company size, and professional interests, including information we infer from business intelligence sources.
- Aggregated data: statistical or demographic information that does not directly identify you.
3. How We Collect It
- Directly from you: when you book a demo or strategy call, fill out a form on our website (including the "Send me five buyers" form), correspond with us, or become a client.
- Automatically: as you interact with our website, we collect technical and usage data via cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).
- From third parties and public sources: we receive contact and business data from payment providers, publicly available sources (such as company websites and public registries), professional networking sites, and licensed B2B data and business intelligence providers. This is how we identify prospective buyers for our clients' campaigns.
4. How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve our website and services;
- Identify and contact prospective buyers who may benefit from our clients' services, and manage those conversations;
- Set up and administer client accounts, deliver briefings, and process payments;
- Respond to inquiries and provide support;
- Send marketing communications where permitted by law, with the ability to opt out at any time;
- Analyze how our website is used so we can improve it;
- Detect and prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our terms, and comply with legal obligations.
Human oversight. Our platform uses AI tools to help research and qualify prospective buyers and to draft outreach. Clients review campaign rules and messaging, and final decisions about whether to contact an individual are subject to human oversight; we do not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about individuals.
No third-party marketing. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information with third parties for those parties' own direct marketing. Mobile phone numbers are never sold or shared with third parties for their marketing purposes; they may be shared with service providers only to deliver messages on our behalf.
5. How We Share Personal Information
We share personal information with:
- Service providers: hosting and infrastructure providers, analytics providers, communication and scheduling tools (for example, our calendar booking provider), payment processors, CRM and email delivery providers, and consent management tools. Service providers process personal information only on our instructions and for specified purposes.
- Our clients: if you are a prospective buyer we contacted on a client's behalf and you engage with the outreach, relevant parts of the conversation are shared with that client so they can follow up.
- Advertising and measurement partners: such as ad platform tags used to measure campaign performance (see Section 6), where you have consented or as permitted by law.
- Business transfer recipients: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
- Legal recipients: where required to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
We require all third parties to respect the security of personal information and to process it in accordance with applicable law.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, remember your preferences, analyze usage, and measure advertising. Categories may include: strictly necessary cookies (including storage of your cookie preferences), analytics cookies, business-visitor identification tools, and advertising tags (such as the LinkedIn Insight Tag). Where required, non-essential cookies are set only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through the cookie settings on our site. Analytics and advertising cookies are generally retained for up to one year. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. We honor browser-based opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) where required by applicable state law.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
Prospect data from public and licensed sources is kept only as long as needed for our outreach purpose. As a standard practice, if a prospective buyer does not respond or engage within approximately one month of collection or initial contact, their data is deleted from our active systems.
Client data is retained for the duration of the client relationship and thereafter as required for legal and accounting purposes, after which it is deleted.
8. Data Security
We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to prevent personal information from being accidentally lost, used, accessed, altered, or disclosed in an unauthorized way. Access to personal information is limited to employees and contractors who have a business need to know it, and they are subject to confidentiality obligations. We maintain procedures to respond to suspected data breaches and will notify you and applicable regulators where we are legally required to do so.
